Syncarpha Capital is a New York based private equity firm dedicated to developing, owning and operating commercial and utility scale photovoltaic (PV) solar energy systems throughout the United States and Canada. Co-founded by Cliff Chapman and Richard Turnure, the firm was launched to capitalize on the tremendous opportunities in the alternative energy sector and to create a vehicle for investing in assets with long duration, excellent credit quality and high risk adjusted returns.

The time is right for investing in solar. Concerns about global climate change and energy independence have catapulted renewable energy to the forefront of public awareness and the American energy agenda.

Our infrastructure fund is dedicated to North American solar energy assets. We concentrate on states and provinces with the most stable regulatory environment, long duration and high quality assets. This creates private equity-like returns with "infrastructure" levels of risk. Our infrastructure fund complies with government policy to pent-up demand for solar in North America.

At Syncarpha, we engineer and build management mitigation construction and operation risk in-house, enabling both asset optimization and over-performance. Our in-house capital has defined our investment process.

We have an indirect channel of developers instrumental in building our 124,000 kW pipeline, with nearly 70,000 kW of late stage development projects.  We partner with developers in order to share risk and manage through expertise and conservative capital allocation.

We have developed standardized business processes and systems in order to facilitate scalability.

Our portfolio is focused on 2,000-20,000 kW projects (accumulating $6-60MM total capital per project). We focus on value added niches such as brownfields, landfills, and distributed wholesale, allowing us to maximize the possibilities for solar opportunities.
