Project Description

Situated on a repurposed landfill on E Street, Syncarpha’s North Adams Landfill Solar project boasts an impressive array of nearly 7,000 solar panels, generating over 3.5 megawatts of solar energy. This output is sufficient to produce approximately 4.3 megawatt-hours of energy annually, allowing the town of North Adams, Massachusetts to offset 100% of its electricity needs with solar power. The project includes two smaller installations in North Brookfield and Westminster, each contributing 650 kilowatts to the city’s renewable energy portfolio.

This solar facility is not just about energy production—it also represents significant environmental and financial benefits. Annually, the installation offsets 2,989 tons of carbon dioxide, the equivalent of removing 630 cars from the road. Additionally, it facilitates an estimated annual savings of over $400,000 for the city.
