Cliff Chapman is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Syncarpha. Cliff has led Syncarpha since 2009 and has developed, financed, and executed nearly 200 MW of solar power transactions. Prior to founding Syncarpha, Cliff was head of investment banking for Broadband Capital, a boutique investment bank. He directed all aspects of deal sourcing, banking, structuring, and due diligence for transactions—raising over $1 billion in three years. Prior to Broadband Capital, Cliff was CEO of mindSHIFT Technologies, a managed services provider focused on IT outsourcing for small-medium businesses. He led a turnaround during which the company completed two capital raises and three acquisitions—becoming one of the leading players in the emerging utility computing space. MindShift was subsequently sold for $167 million to Best Buy in 2011. Previously, Mr. Chapman served as the Vice President of Best Practices for AppNet, a full-service internet professional services and managed services company, where he led the integration of twelve acquired companies. AppNet consummated its initial public offering in July 1999 on NASDAQ and was subsequently acquired by CommerceOne in September 2000. From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Chapman was Chief Operating Officer of NMP, an internet business consulting company that he co-founded and sold to AppNet in October 1998. Mr. Chapman helped grow NMP from 5 staff to 200+ staff over the five-year period that saw revenues increase from $100K to over $30MM. The sale to AppNet generated a 20x+ return to NMP’s venture investors. Prior to NMP, Mr. Chapman worked in the commercial practice of Booz Allen & Hamilton focusing on the strategic use of information technology to support business processes. Mr. Chapman also worked as a consultant for Andersen Consulting in their Advanced Systems Group. Cliff earned his Masters of Business Administration with Honors from Columbia Business School and his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Lehigh University.
Richard Turnure is a Co-Founder and Chairman of Syncarpha Capital. Richard has led Syncarpha since 2008 and has developed, financed, and executed over 100 MW of solar power transactions. Prior to founding Syncarpha, Richard founded Miura Global Management, a $3 billion hedge fund, which had a strategic allocation to alternative energy and solar public equities and according to Baron’s, a Top 50 Hedge Fund. Prior to Miura, Richard was a portfolio manager at Washington Asset Management and Ridgecrest Partners. Richard earned his Masters in Business Administration from Columbia University and his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College.
Lisa Mastronardi is the Chief Investment Officer of Syncarpha Capital. Lisa is a member of the senior management and investment committee. Additionally, Lisa has overseen all financial-related activity at Syncarpha since 2012. Prior to Syncarpha, Lisa held senior leadership level positions at Prudential Financial and Deloitte & Touche. During this time, Lisa's responsibilities included providing strategic direction for the entire Financial Planning business and oversight of the Annuity Brokerage / Wire House Distribution Channel. Lisa also spent time working with Broad Reach Healthcare, helping the South African government expand its treatment program for HIV. Lisa earned her Masters of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Rutgers University. Lisa is a Certified Public Accountant.
Millicent Pyke is the Chief Financial Officer at Syncarpha Capital and is responsible for managing all of the company's accounting functions, financial reporting, and financial compliance. She's been with Syncarpha for over 10 years and has over 14 years of professional experience in finance and accounting. Before joining Syncarpha, Millicent served as a Business Manager at Altman, Greenfield & Selvaggi and worked in Public Accounting at Accru Felsers. In addition to earning her CPA license, Millicent earned a Bachelor’s in Business/Accounting/Finance from the University of Technology (Sydney, Australia) and a Master's in Business Administration from RMIT, Melbourne.
Chris Savastano is a 30+-year veteran of the energy industry leading over $1 billion of energy related transactions with a focus on clean energy, sustainability, and energy efficiency. Chris’ work includes leading new market development, project development and policy, focused on driving the firm’s investment strategy. Prior to joining Syncarpha, Chris was Managing Director of NJR Clean Energy Ventures, where he led the team’s efforts in building a portfolio of over 500 MWs of wind and solar projects in his 12 years with the firm. Chris earner his Masters of Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University and his Bachelor of Science degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology in Mechanical Engineering.
Jason Mansilla is the Vice President of Engineering and Construction Management at Syncarpha Capital. He has over 10 years of experience in engineering and complex project management. In his 5 years at Syncarpha Capital, Jason has managed and overseen the engineering and construction of approximately 70 MWs of C&I scale solar projects throughout the US, and is currently overseeing an additional 70 MWs of solar projects that are expected to go operational in 2020 and 2021. Jason has also supported Syncarpha’s asset management team during his time at Syncarpha Capital. Prior to joining Syncarpha Capital, Jason was the Director of Electrical Engineering and a Project Manager at KDC Solar LLC, where he spent 5 years managing the development, engineering and construction of 50 MWs of net metered solar projects in New Jersey. Before that, Jason worked at Lockheed Martin as a systems engineer for satellite communications systems, physical security systems and command and control systems. Jason earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Lafayette College and his Master’s of Business Administration from Georgetown University.
Karl Lamberth is the Vice President of Asset Management at Syncarpha Capital. He is a professional investor, business advisor and business executive working to help Syncarpha manage their growing portfolio of assets. Karl currently serves on the advisory board for a number of technology companies and provides delivery, operational and implementation consulting advice for organizations looking to scale. He currently serves as the Managing Director for LT3 LLC, a business advisory firm. From 2016-2018, Karl served as the NA Delivery Lead for Google technologies with Accenture where he provided delivery oversight for Google implementations for the energy and other sectors. He was the SVP of Global Service delivery for Cloud Sherpas (acquired by Accenture) from 2010-2016, where he oversaw Cloud Sherpas Google technology implementation and application development efforts in NA, APAC and EMEA. In the early to late 2000’s, Karl founded and served as the President for Lamberth Consulting, where he provided statistical consulting and litigation consulting services for police departments and local and state governments. Prior to that Karl worked for Andersen Consulting and AppNet, providing organizational change management and operational services in the technology sector. Karl earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Lehigh University.
Graeme Dutkowsky is the Vice President of Construction Management at Syncarpha Capital. He has over 10 years of experience in engineering, and complex project management on real estate, infrastructure and utility projects. Graeme is responsible for all pre construction and construction activities across multiple project portfolios. He is currently managing the closeout of nearly 64 MW of solar plus storage projects in MA as well as the startup of 44 MW of new construction in ME and NJ. Prior to joining Syncarpha, Graeme was a Senior Project Manager at Restani Construction Corp, where he spent 5 years managing real estate development and heavy civil construction projects in the New York metro area ranging in value from $1MM to over $100MM. Before that, Graeme worked as a project manager for a heavy civil construction company and an engineering firm that specializes in complex geotechnical and infrastructure projects in New York City. Graeme earned his BS in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College, and his MS in Civil Engineering and MBA in Finance from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Mary Kim-Candullo is an experienced HR executive currently serving as Vice President of People & Culture at Syncarpha Capital. Mary drives all facets of Human Resources, including hiring, talent management, learning and benefits. She also serves on Syncarpha’s leadership team.
Mary’s people-first approach is foundational to cultivating an engaging and inclusive workplace. She recently joined the organization and comes with over 20 years of experience in Human Resources.
Prior to Syncarpha, Mary spent over 7 years at Samsung Electronics America, partnering closely with the senior executive leadership team to drive desired business outcomes with a focus on talent. Mary has also held various HR roles at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey.
Mary earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University, and attended Columbia University where she earned a Masters of Arts in Organizational Psychology.
