Project Description

Syncarpha Capital is proud to announce that Syncarpha Acton, LLC has achieved Permission to Operate (PTO) on November 19, 2025, bringing a 7.1-MWdc community solar array and 8-MWh battery energy storage system online in Acton, Massachusetts. The project is located on a remediated Superfund site that once housed a chemical manufacturing facility — a transformation marking a major milestone for the community and for clean energy development on legacy industrial lands.

Developed, financed, and operated by Syncarpha Capital, LLC, and co-developed with long-time partners at Renewable Energy Massachusetts, LLC, the project represents a forward-thinking use of brownfield land to deliver renewable energy, community benefits, and local resiliency. Construction was completed in collaboration with EPC partners Distributed Energy Infrastructure and Terrasmart, who made it possible to build responsibly on a complex site with previously contaminated soils.

A key feature of Syncarpha Acton, LLC is its community solar model, which enables local Eversource customers enrolled in qualifying low-income programs — to access clean energy benefits without needing to install solar panels on their homes.
