Depending on the state market and available programs your property may be a great site to host a solar farm. If you own 10 or more acres of land and are interested in exploring an opportunity to put a solar farm on your property, please reach out to us and we would be happy to evaluate your land for its solar potential.
What We’re Looking For:
Leasing your land can provide you with long-term predictable income.
We offer generous lease and purchase terms.
We handle the development, construction and management. No responsibility for equipment or development on your end.
Increase in tax revenue with minimal burden on local infrastructure such as roads, schools and emergency services.
Construction will lead to increased activity at local hotels, restaurants and other businesses.
Quiet and safe neighbor.
The operations period is typically 25+ years. This will vary from state to state, and is based on agreements we sign with the utility provider. This term length is necessary to realize the full benefit of the project. We typically prefer to extend the operations period for an additional 10+ years as the lifetime of the equipment far exceeds the initial 25 years.
No. In order to make the project financially viable, we will need the long-term commitment from the property owner.
During the development phase, nothing changes as to your current use of the property. We may need to enter the property from time to time for due diligence activities, however, this will not impact your use of the property. Once construction begins, your use of the leased area changes. Of course, nothing outside our agreed-upon lease area is affected.
We take full responsibility for anything within the agreed-upon lease area. We are responsible for the access road, fencing, vegetation, and, of course, the solar equipment itself.
We will remove all equipment at the end of the lease. We will restore the land to its original state, with certain limitations. If requested, some aspects of the facility, such as access roads, can remain.
The panels are designed to absorb as much light as possible, which is essential for a photo-voltaic module. They are coated with anti-reflective glass which is also shatter-resistant.
Solar gardens are un-manned facilities, and are monitored remotely. Once construction is complete, there may be someone on site about once per quarter for routine maintenance, emergencies notwithstanding. Additionally, we will have lawn maintenance crews out as needed.
Once Construction is complete, generally, solar panels are a silent neighbor. Some systems have “trackers” on them. These are small motors which cause the panels to move as the sun crosses the sky. The sound from these motors should not be discernable outside the lease area. There will also be an inverter and transformer which may have a slight humming noise during the day.
